Stash saves text you explicitly select and save. Each saved highlight includes:
Your highlights are saved directly to your own Google Sheet in your Google account. Stash has no backend server — there is no central database, no third-party storage, and no data leaves your device except to Google’s own Sheets API on your behalf.
A small cache of your last 20 highlights is stored locally in Chrome’s extension storage to power the popup.
Stash requests access to Google Sheets (to create and append to your sheet) and Google Drive (to create the file). These permissions are used solely to write your highlights. We never read, modify, or access any other files in your Google account.
We do not share, sell, or transmit your data to any third party. Ever.
To delete all locally cached data, click Sign out in the extension popup. To delete your highlights spreadsheet, delete it from Google Drive directly.
